How tough is a government job interview? Do you think it's easier than private corps? What is your experience

I just had an interview for an auditing position at LA county. The interviewers asked me a total of 9 questions, I did fine on 7 of them. 2 of them I struggled since they were harder (situational questions) but I just told them I needed time to think about it and answered it. They seemed fine with my answer. Overall I think I got a good vibe from them. I even impressed the interviewer by doing research on the department. Right now I'm just waiting for a responce, they told me it takes about 2-3 weeks for them to send out a letter to see I qualified for a second interview. My friend landed a job with them and she said they were hiring a lot of people. Overall I think I did all right since I made sure they knew I was a team player and was excited about the position. I met the minimum requirements and possess some of the preferred skills they seek. But you never know about these things, so now I'm just waiting. What is your take on government jobs? How do you think I did? Thx!
